Battlefront 2 2005 had 17 ground maps early on. Battlefront 2 2017 did have 12 ground maps early on, counting Crait. Both have the philosophy of each map corresponding to 1 unique planet (besides Theed: Hanger), so variety (in terms of restricted redundancy) is present for each of them.
